The SpearHealth team
SpearHealth is led by Limor Sandach, Harel Baris, Ella Rosen and was founded by Eilon Tirosh, Amy Amit Meitus and the 8400 Health Network, in collaboration with leading HealthTech Ecosystem stakeholders, and with the support of the Israel Innovation Authority, Digital Israel, Ministry of Health and JOINT-Elka.
Eilon Tirosh
Co-Founder
Eilon, a former serial entrepreneur, is supporting the ideation and creation of new healthtech ventures. Eilon is a graduate of the prestigious 8400 health network fellowship program (cohort #2) . He serves on the board of 8400, focusing on broad impact programs for removing barriers to growth in the healthtech ecosystem. Additionally, he is actively supporting translation efforts of cutting edge research onto commercial applications. Eilon is also a social investor, who founded Yuvalim (education in the periphery) in 2003, and supports high tech training for Haredi men and women.
Limor Sandach
Program Leader
A senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare innovation ecosystem, including investments and operational management. Limor is a graduate of the prestigious 8400 health network fellowship program (cohort #5) . She is currently a board member, mentor, Venture Advisor at Almeda Ventures, as well as the Chairwoman of PregnanTech, which advances solutions in the women's health industry. Limor served as CEO of AV Medical Technologies, which was acquired by Medtronic in 2019. She formerly held management positions in healthcare funds such as AMV, 7 Health Ventures, Evergreen, and XT. She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an ME in Industrial Design from the Technion.
Amit Amy Meitus, M.D
Co-Founder
Dr. Amit Amy Meitus is a highly experienced product and strategy executive, with over fifteen years of experience in taking large scale tech projects from ideation to delivery for the Israeli government. Amy is a graduate of the prestigious 8400 health network fellowship program (cohort #3). She has a unique interdisciplinary education, with a medical degree, a law degree, and a computer science degree (ongoing). Amy completed her medical training at the Sheba Medical Center (with Honors) and volunteers as an emergency medicine physician. She currently serves as Chief Product Officer at Scopio Labs. Prior to her role at Scopio, Amy co-founded and served as the COO of Xiom Labs.
Harel Baris, M.D
Chief Innovation Officer (CIO)
Physician at ARC- the innovation arm of Sheba Medical Center, where he leads impactful projects, such as the ARC Space Lab for advancing healthcare innovation on Earth. Previously, Harel served as a Product Manager at an international cyber-security company and as an officer in the IDF intelligence forces. As part of his role in SpearHealth, Harel assists entrepreneurs in their HealthTech journeys.
Ella Rosen
Program Coordinator
Ella holds 2 roles at 8400: she serves as the Manager of the Med4Tech program as well as the coordinator of SpearHealth program. She brings a wide range of management and organizational skills. As an active member of the program's leadership team, Ella is deeply involved in planning and in executing the ongoing internal & external activities and suppliers' management. She is a Business Administration and Entrepreneurship student, at the Reichman University (IDC), Israel. Ella is a former Professional Dancer, at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company.
